Do I need an idea, or know how to code? +
Neither. Bring a script or indicator in any language, describe a rough idea, or start from a blank page and shape a strategy together with your agent. Everything runs without you writing a line of code — though power users can still use the dashboard and API directly.
How does the AI-agent integration work? +
You connect Sharpelab to your AI agent — Claude, Cursor and others — with a single connection URL and your personal token. From then on the agent can run backtests, grid search and walk-forward on your behalf, and the results come straight back into the conversation. Sharpelab is model-agnostic — when a smarter model ships, your bot-builder gets smarter with it.
Which exchanges and data do you support? +
Market data comes via CCXT across major venues (Binance and others), including candles, funding rates and open interest — so perpetual-specific strategies are modeled correctly.
Can I trade real money? +
Yes. Once a strategy is validated you can promote it from backtest to paper trading, and then to live execution — with full risk management built in.
Will this make me money? +
No honest platform can promise that — and the ones that do are selling you something. What Sharpelab gives you is what professional desks have: knowing how a strategy would have performed, after all costs, before you risk a cent — and hard risk limits once you go live. Finding the edge is your job; the lab makes sure you don’t fool yourself.
Can the AI make up the numbers? +
No. The AI designs and refines your bot, but it never computes the results — every strategy runs as real code on the engine, against real historical data. Same bot, same data, same numbers, every time — and every run is saved, so anything can be re-checked in the dashboard.
Is my strategy private? +
Your strategies and results are scoped to your account, and access to the engine is gated by your personal API token.
